I'm a BIG fan of online learning. I don't think I would be working for the greatest online learning company ever if I didn't truly believe this. One thing that you do have to keep in mind, is that the biggest advantage can easily turn into the biggest drawback for online learning.
The beauty of online learning is that you have the opportunity to take classes in the comfort of your own home, score! But be careful... this can easily turn into a curse. When you feel like you are studying on a virtual desserted island, you could lose focus or take too many "breaks" due to a lack of engagement. Some people want to do their own thing on their own time. Take my word for it when I say that when students feel connected to an interactive learning environment, online courses work better. Having access to other students and teachers can help you stay more engaged in the material. Online learning has discussion boards and live meetings, but some schools do demand more collaborative work.
