On July 4, 1776, we claimed our independence from Britain and Democracy was born. Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the “land of the free and the home of the brave” so they can begin their American Dream.

The United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings.

Despite the chaos that goes on daily in our lives, we are truly an amazing nation. Let's never forget that!

Just like traditional degree programs, online career training programs are intended to help prepare students for careers in the field of their choice. As someone who has completed both degrees online and has taken career training courses, I believe the learning outcomes of online programs are comparable or better than traditional programs.

It's not every day that we use the word "Nachos" in the same sentence as "Military Wives"...

I guess the only time I would say was our last deployment and I ran to the store for everything I would need in order to make authentic nachos....

But all jokes aside, the below is a TRUE and funny story about military wives and one of our most favorite foods of all time, nachos!

I bet many people don't think that the history of nachos has anything to do with the military, right? Wrong!

If you are an active duty or National Guard/Reserve servicemember, veteran or military spouse – have you thought about the portability an online education could offer you?

Online education is a great way for servicemembers to go back to school while serving their country. I'm a BIG fan of online learning. I don't think I would be working for the greatest online learning company ever if I didn't truly believe this. One thing that you do have to keep in mind, is that the biggest advantage can easily turn into the biggest drawback for online learning.

A large part of my life has ended. I closed the doors completely on that day we said goodbye to each other and entering a new and exciting part of our lives. I can clearly recall the day that my husband’s orders for a 15 month deployment landed in my hands. I was still in shock from the overall news but this made it real, there was no way out of this and it was happening. Who would have known that the horrid thought of deployment would change my life for the best?
